Privacy Policy

10/20/2026

Direct Appliance Care ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information connected with directappliancecare.com, service requests, appointments, customer communications, and Lesly, our AI receptionist.

1. Information we collect

You may provide your name, phone number, email address, service address, appliance type, brand, model or serial number, description of the problem, photos, access instructions, and preferred appointment times. We also receive booking details, service records, messages, and payment or refund status.

Our website and providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, pages visited, cookies, and security or diagnostic logs. Calls and messages may produce transcripts, summaries, and, when recording is enabled, audio recordings. See the Lesly section below.

2. How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, arrange and manage appointments, assess service needs, prepare estimates, perform repairs, provide customer support, process payments through payment providers, send communications you request or authorize, maintain service and consent records, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

3. Lesly, AI processing, and recordings

Lesly is an automated AI assistant, not a human technician. The information you share may be processed by AI, voice, messaging, and scheduling providers to understand your request, create service notes, and assist with scheduling. AI can misunderstand names, addresses, symptoms, or times; please review any prefilled booking details and contact us to correct errors.

Calls may be recorded or transcribed for handling your request, service quality, and recordkeeping. We provide any notice and obtain any consent required before recording. If you prefer another contact method, email or call us to request assistance from a person. This policy does not itself replace a required call-recording notice or consent.

Do not give Lesly or send by text your full card number, security code, Social Security number, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Use the payment checkout provided for your appointment. Booking links may contain prefilled personal information; review them carefully and avoid forwarding them.

4. SMS consent and choice

We send service-related texts only within the permission you give, such as a requested booking link, appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling changes, and service updates. Giving us a phone number, visiting the website, or accepting these terms alone does not enroll you in SMS. Consent is optional and is not a condition of buying services.

Consent to receive one booking link does not enroll you in recurring updates. Service-message permission does not authorize advertising texts; any promotional program requires its own separate consent. You may withdraw permission using the opt-out instructions in our Terms & Conditions.

5. When information is shared

We share information needed to fulfill your request with our personnel, assigned technicians, and providers that support website hosting, scheduling, AI reception, calls, texts, payments, email, recordkeeping, and security. Our website uses Wix, and booking links may take you to Cal.com. Information entered directly on another provider's site is also subject to that provider's privacy notice.

We do not sell or rent mobile numbers or SMS opt-in records. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is not sold, transferred, or used to authorize another sender's messages. Providers that deliver or support our texts may process the information needed for those services on our behalf.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect people, property, and legal rights. These exceptions do not authorize marketing use of mobile information or SMS consent.

6. Cookies and linked services

Cookies and similar technologies may support website functions, security, preferences, and usage measurement. You can manage cookies through your browser and any consent controls offered on the website. Blocking necessary cookies may affect forms or booking features. Where required, we ask for consent before using optional cookies. Review the privacy notices of linked or embedded providers before giving them information.

7. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including service history, accounting, warranty administration where applicable, disputes, and legal requirements. Consent and opt-out records may be kept to document your preferences and avoid sending unwanted messages. Retention depends on the information and purpose; it is not indefinite by default.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, phone system, text message, or storage service can guarantee complete security. Ordinary SMS is not a suitable channel for sensitive payment or identity information.

8. Your privacy requests

Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, to withdraw communication consent, or to ask how your information is used. Where applicable law grants additional rights, including a portable copy, an applicable opt-out, or an appeal of a denied request, you may exercise those rights through the same contact. We may verify your identity and retain records when legally required or otherwise permitted. We will handle requests within applicable legal time limits.

To stop texts, reply STOP or contact us. One confirmation may follow. SMS opt-out does not cancel an appointment.

9. Children, updates, and contact

Our services are intended for adults arranging appliance service. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can address it.

We may update this policy and will identify the effective date on the published page. A policy change does not itself create new SMS consent.
